North Fork
North Fork is an unincorporated community of Madera County. North Fork is situated 40 miles northeast of Fresno at an elevation of 2640 feet. It is located 9.89 miles south east of Bass Lake, 14 miles from Oakhurst and only 31 miles from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park.
Sierra Vista Scenic Byway: The Sierra Vista National Scenic Byway is one of the most beautiful drives in all of California. The route starts in North Fork. The entire stretch from North Fork to the exit point on highway 41 past Nelder Grove (home to 150 mature Sequoias), takes approximately five hours - plus time for breathtaking scenery stops! The Byway is a seasonal route, generally open from June through October.
